The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) participated in the 2024 Mining Investment Forum, held on April 23-24 at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe. The forum brought together key stakeholders in the mining industry to discuss investment opportunities, challenges, and solutions.

MERA’s participation highlighted the vital role of the energy sector in supporting the growth and development of the mining industry. MERA engaged with mining companies, investors, and other stakeholders to discuss energy-related challenges and opportunities in the sector. Through its participation, MERA aimed to promote collaboration and innovation in addressing the energy needs of the mining industry.

By fostering greater cooperation and knowledge sharing, MERA hopes to contribute to the sustainable development of Malawi’s mining industry.
